Privacy

Group Studies is a shared canvas for creative teams, run by Group Dynamics. This page explains what we keep, why, and who else handles it. We don’t sell your data, show you ads, or use what you put on your boards for anything other than running the service for you.

What we keep

• Your account: your name, email address and profile picture (from Google, Microsoft or Apple if you sign in with them), and the teams you belong to.
• Your boards: everything you and your team put on them — images, files, notes, chat messages, and anything you generate.
• Usage: what you generate and how much, so we can apply plan limits and billing.
• Visits: anonymous page-view counts through Vercel Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn’t identify you.

We use a sign-in cookie to keep you logged in, and a guest cookie when you open a shared board link.

The browser extension

The Group Studies extension for Chrome lets you right-click an image, page or link and save it to one of your boards.

• It stores, in your browser only, a sign-in token for your Group Studies account, your email address (to show which account is connected), the names of your boards, and which boards you used last.
• When you choose to save something, it sends the address of that image, page or link, and the page’s title, to Group Studies. Group Studies then downloads the image and adds it to the board you picked.
• It doesn’t read or change the pages you visit, doesn’t see your browsing history, and sends nothing until you save something. It only communicates with group-studies.com.
• You can disconnect it from its popup, or from group-studies.com/extension, which removes its access to your account.

Who else handles it

We use these services to run Group Studies. Each only gets what it needs for its part:

• Vercel (hosting and analytics), Neon (database), Cloudflare (file storage and live collaboration).
• Google, Microsoft and Apple, if you sign in with them; Resend, to email sign-in codes and invites.
• Stripe, for payments. We never see your card details.
• OpenRouter, Replicate and fal.ai, which run the AI models. When you generate something, your prompt and any images you include are sent to them to make the result.

Who can see your boards

Your boards are visible to your team, to the people you add, and to anyone you send a share link to. They’re not public otherwise.

Deleting your data

Delete boards and files at any time from within Group Studies. To delete your account and everything in it, email us and we’ll do it within 30 days.
